As a parent trying to bridge the gap between teenagers and the realities of financial literacy, finding a resource that commands their attention without sounding like a dry academic lecture or a shallow internet listicle is a massive challenge. This financial guide is exactly the sharp, uncompromising tool families need. The writing carries the undeniable authority of an insider who understands the mechanics of money intimately, breaking down complex wealth logic into highly precise, actionable steps. It goes far beyond standard advice, detailing not only the smartest strategies to execute but the exact pitfalls, traps, and behavioral errors to avoid. This defensive blueprint is exactly what makes the advice so protective and practical for a younger audience. What truly differentiates this book is its raw, human authenticity. In a media landscape where AI can instantly generate pages of surface-level financial tips, this text stands completely apart. It rejects the sterile, cookie-cutter templates of algorithmic content to deliver gritty, hard-earned wisdom. It reads like a direct masterclass from a seasoned expert who refuses to talk down to teenagers. About the author

Author Jason Kirk has worked in the finance industry for more than twenty-five years including that as a Certified Financial Planner™ and has always enjoyed educating people on finance. As witness to the financial literacy crisis in America including the lack of education on that topic to students in schools, he was inspired to write a book that would teach young people early on and wrote Grow Your Dough: Smart Money Tips for Teens.
Though it was difficult to condense all of the financial information into a book that would be easily digestible for young people, his goal was to be able to get through to teens, such as his own daughters who are thirteen and fifteen, with lasting knowledge they could apply to their lives. He hopes his young readers come away from his book with solid financial skills that help carve out a financially secure and smart future.
Jason lives in Brighton, Michigan, with his wife and daughters, two cats and a dog. Grow Your Dough: Smart Money Tips for Teens is his debut book.
